Assignments and grades
Track what coursework is open, done or missed, and read the marks your teachers have shared, course by course.
Every course has an Assignments tab and a Grades tab. Together they are the record of what you owe and what you scored.
Handing work in is not in this version yet
The Assignments tab is a ledger, not a submission box. There is no upload, no text box and no submit button anywhere in it. Opening or handing in an assignment is still done in the classic version of EasyClass, and selecting a pending assignment on Home shows a note with a link there. Everything on this page is about tracking and reading, not submitting.
Assignments
The tab splits your coursework into three groups.
| Group | What is in it |
|---|---|
| To do | Still open. Shows the due date, or No due date when there is none |
| Done | Handed in. Shows the grade if there is one, otherwise Submitted and when |
| Missed | The deadline passed without a submission. Shows Was due {date} |
A coloured dot on each row encodes urgency: green for done, red once a deadline has passed, amber when it is close, and the course colour otherwise. A missed assignment stays grey, because it is a closed matter.
Rows also name the lecture an assignment was set from, when it came from one, so you can trace it back.
If nothing has been set, the tab says you have no assignments in this course yet.
Grades
The Grades tab shows the marks your teachers have chosen to share.
- A summary rail on the left holds the computed figures for the course, most recently shared first. The newest is crowned Latest.
- The main column lists your individual marks, one section per gradebook when your course has more than one.
- Each mark is tagged by where it came from: Exam, Assignment or Peer review.
Values show against their scale, so a mark reads as the figure and the total it was out of.
Nothing shows until a teacher shares it
A grade that exists in a teacher's gradebook is not visible to you until they share it. The tab says no grades have been published yet, and a course with computed averages but no individual marks says no individual marks have been shared yet. Neither is an error, and neither means your work was not marked.
Your most recent marks across all courses are also summarised on Home under Recent Grades, and the latest one for a single course appears under Latest grade on the course Overview.
Troubleshooting
Work handed in through the classic version may take until the next refresh of this page to move across. If it stays there past the deadline, contact your teacher rather than resubmitting.
Missed means no submission was recorded before the deadline. Late submission is not possible from here. Speak to your teacher, who can record the work on their side.
These are two different things. Computed figures such as an average come from the gradebook's calculations, individual marks come from single pieces of work, and a teacher can share one without the other.
Averages are computed by the gradebook your school set up, which can weight courses by coefficient and combine marks in ways a simple mean does not. Ask your school how the gradebook is configured if the figure looks wrong.
