Activating your account
Your school creates your EasyClass account and emails you a temporary password. Sign in with it, then set a password of your own.
You do not sign yourself up for EasyClass. Your school creates your account, and EasyClass emails you a welcome message with a temporary password. This page takes you from that email to a working account with a password only you know.

Before you start
- Your school creates the account, not you. There is no sign-up link. If no one has registered you, an administrator has to add you first.
- You need the welcome email. Its subject is
Welcome tofollowed by your school's name, and it contains your temporary password. - Sign in with the email address or phone number your school has on file. If they registered a different address from the one you use every day, the welcome email went there.
Step 1: Open the welcome email
The email says that an account has been created for you, then shows your temporary password as a large block of characters. Underneath it is a Sign In to Your Account button.
The button and the link do the same thing
If the button does not work in your mail app, the same address is printed as plain text below it. Copy it into your browser.
Step 2: Sign in with the temporary password
On the sign-in page, fill in Email or Phone Number with the address or number your school registered, and Password with the temporary password from the email. Then select Sign in.
- The field accepts either. A phone number works as well as an email address.
- Tick Remember me to stay signed in on this device.
- EasyClass sends you to the right place on its own. Students land on Home, staff land in the admin area.
Step 3: Set a password of your own
The welcome email tells you to change the temporary password after your first sign-in.
Nothing prompts you, so do it yourself
EasyClass does not interrupt your first session to make you change it, and there is no password field in your profile. The way to set your own password is Forgot Password on the sign-in page. Until you do, the password in your inbox is still the password to your account.
Select Forgot Password
It sits next to Remember me on the sign-in page. Enter your email address.
Check what arrives
You get one of two things, and the screen tells you which:
- A reset link. The page confirms that if an account with that email exists, a password reset link has been sent. Open the link from your inbox.
- A verification code. The page asks you to enter the code sent to your email along with your new password.
Which one you get depends on how your account was set up. You cannot choose.
Choose the new password
It must be at least 8 characters and contain an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number and a special character. Confirm it, and the reset completes.
Other ways to sign in
You do not have to use a password at all.
Select Sign in with a passcode on the sign-in page. EasyClass sends you a one-time code, then you enter it to get in.
- Enter an email address and the code arrives by email.
- Enter a phone number and the code arrives on WhatsApp.
- If it does not arrive, you can ask for another one, but only after a short wait. The page counts the seconds down for you.
This is the quickest way back in when you have lost your password, because it needs nothing but access to your inbox or your phone.
Troubleshooting
Check your spam folder first. If it is not there, the likely cause is that your school has a different email address for you, or your account was created without account access enabled. Both are fixed by an administrator at your school, who can see whether your access status is Active, Disabled or No account.
Passcodes go to your email or, when you sign in with a phone number, to WhatsApp. Check spam for the email, and check that WhatsApp is installed on the number your school registered. You can request a new code once the countdown on the page finishes.
Codes expire. If you see a message that the code is invalid or expired, start the reset again from Forgot Password and use the newest code, not an older one still sitting in your inbox.
Password resets and passcodes are both rate limited to stop someone else hammering your account. Wait a few minutes and try again. Requesting more codes in the meantime does not speed it up.
The password has to be at least 8 characters and include an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number and a special character. A password that meets all four is still rejected if the confirmation field does not match it exactly.
EasyClass routes you by role. If you land in an admin area, or you see none of your courses, your account may be registered with the wrong role or not enrolled in any class yet. Ask an administrator at your school to check.
Staff can switch student access off. If your account shows as Disabled, no password or passcode will work until an administrator re-enables it.
