Calendar

Your week first, then any class, room or staff member.

The Calendar opens on your own week: the sessions you teach and the events you were added to. From there you can look at one class, one room or one staff member at a time.

What you see first

Everything you were put on: sessions, meetings and other events, including cancelled ones, so you can see that something is off.

Being added to an event is enough to see it. When you add a colleague to a meeting, it appears on their calendar, even if they hold no role. It does not let them open anything the event points at: a session's page still needs its own permission.

Looking at a class, a room or a staff member

Use the buttons above the calendar. Class, Classroom and Staff open a list to search; later in your visit they go straight back to the one you last picked. The button you are on shows what it is showing (Classroom | B12): click it again to pick another. All in that list searches classes, rooms and staff at once, and the ones you opened recently come first.

  • Class: the whole timetable of one class, including its exams. Needs permission to view classes, and only lists the classes you can view. Classes that have ended are folded away until you ask for them or search.
  • Classroom: what is booked into one room, to see when it is free. It is for planning, so it needs permission to view the timetable across the whole organisation; permission on one program, class or course is not enough. Events and exams booked there show only if your permissions also let you view them.
  • Staff: the timetable of one staff member (moderator) named on events you can see, limited to what your own permissions reach. If you manage one program, you see their sessions in that program and not elsewhere. Needs permission to view the timetable, exams or events.

A button you have no permission for is not shown.

Hovering an entry

Hover an entry to see its class, room, how many students are on it and who teaches it. A session also shows where it falls in its course (Session 7 of 20), and an exam shows until when students can enter and how long the paper runs.

From the card, Open goes to the session's page. Status changes are made from the session's page.
